Furniture Delays

Purchasing your furniture for a new baby can be one of the most important parts of preparing a nursery, but it can also be one of the items that have the longest time delays so it’s important to consider this when you are looking for your furniture.

Unlike prams or car seats, which we generally have stocked in our warehouses, most of our furniture needs to be specially ordered, as we simply don’t have the space to keep a significant number of large boxes.

Depending on what brand, style and colour you choose, delays on furniture can sometimes be up to 12 weeks but generally if the supplier has furniture in stock we can have it available for our customers in 4-6 weeks. This means if you order your furniture in advance or put your furniture on layby, we can make sure that your furniture comes in time or alert you of any delays, however if you walk into the store wanting to purchase your nursery suite and take it with you right away it can make it really difficult for us to help you purchase the furniture you want.

Generally we do keep some furniture out the back that is available for purchase and can be picked up right away, however there is no guarantee on what colours we will have or what styles we will have, so if you have a particular set of furniture in mind, please ensure you order it earlier in your pregnancy so you won’t have to stress about delays.
