Helpful Products for Swaddling

21 March 2014

For centuries, swaddling has been used as a method for keeping newborn babies safe and secure and this method is often recommended by midwives, nurses and hospitals. Swaddling involves using a cloth or wrap to help sooth and comfort a newborn baby by wrapping them up firmly, a feeling reminiscent of being in the compact space of the womb.

Here at Baby Mode, we feature a wide range of products that help make swaddling easier for parents and more comfortable for baby, including swaddling wraps, zip-up swaddling suits and sleeping bags.

Our swaddling wraps come in a wide variety of colours and fabrics, including hypoallergenic bamboo and stretch cotton. We also feature traditional muslin wraps, and all of these can be used to swaddle in the traditional manner.

Another option is the Swaddle Me Up range of zip-up swaddling suits by Love To Dream that feature a range of different designs; including an organic swaddle suit, a 50/50 swaddle that allows the arms to be removed for extra freedom and a ‘lite’ version with thinner material for the warmer months. These suits allow your baby to feel safe and secure but are an easier option if you struggle to swaddle your baby. The zip up option is also quick and easy to get your baby out off when its time for a nappy change.

Lastly Grobags are also a great option if you want a warm and comfortable environment for your little one, but like the Swaddle Me Up swaddle suits, you don’t want to worry about swaddling wraps. These come in a range of beautiful designs, sizes and material density so there is a sleeping bag for every baby.

A huge range of swaddles are now available in-store and online at Baby Mode, and for more information comment below or visit us in store and chat with a member of our friendly team!
